About Us

Why did we open a Food Truck Park?

Because there was a serious need for it in Western North Carolina.  With the growing popularity and rapid increase in the number of food trucks in recent years, food truck operators couldn't find the commercial kitchen that they needed to get a legal permit.  So we built one.  We've always been closely connected to food and the environment, and try to help young farmers and small business owners when we can. We often help new food truck operators avoid the pitfalls that we've witnessed other trucks make, and coach them in the business principles that they need to run a successful business.

Food trucks are not a new thing.  Farmers have been bringing their meat, dairy and produce to village markets for thousands of years, always by food carts.  But what has changed is the way trucks have changed, from carts to fully customized, beautiful retail outlets on wheels. Some of these vehicles cost over $100,000 to build.  Below are pics of some of these trucks from a recent trip to France and Spain, where markets and trucks are more popular and diverse.
